our mission

Good Software first; Agentic later.

Get stories out of camera rolls and into the world.

Everyone already has a camera

The camera problem got solved. There are billions of them, in every pocket, and they're absurdly good. Nobody is short on footage.

And yet camera rolls are where ideas go to die. Thousands of clips, a few dozen half-finished projects, one video that actually got posted. The bottleneck stopped being the shot a long time ago. It's the edit.

Editing is the actual art

Put a blank face next to a bowl of soup and people see hunger. Put the same face next to a coffin and they see grief. Same shot, different cut, different feeling. Film editors figured this out a hundred years ago and it's still the coolest trick in the book.

A film is made three times: when it's written, when it's shot, and when it's edited. The last one is where it actually becomes something. We think more people deserve to feel that.

Tools are either too much or not enough

Pro editors have four hundred buttons and want a beefy machine just to open. Beginner editors have three buttons, a watermark, and a sign-up wall right before export. There's a giant gap in the middle, and that's where most people live.

Good tools disappear. Nobody thinks about their pencil while drawing. If you're thinking about the software instead of the story, the software lost.

AI is the intern, not the director

AI is great at the boring parts: logging footage, finding the take where you didn't blink, cutting the ums. Let it. Nobody became an editor because they love scrubbing through 40 minutes of b-roll.

Taste can't be automated (we checked). Deciding what makes someone laugh, cry, or watch till the end is your job. Every edit the agent makes is a normal edit on your timeline you can tweak or undo, and if you'd rather it stayed out entirely, turn it off.

What we're doing about it

  1. 01Build an editor that's genuinely good, fast in any browser, and free forever.
  2. 02Make the AI handle the tedious parts, so more of your time goes to the creative ones.
  3. 03Open it up: sharing, collaboration, and plugins, so people can build on yave and make it theirs.

Cut the boring parts.Of editing, and of your videos.
